This is an Edwardian hallmarked sterling silver ecclesiastical church chalice. It was assayed in London in 1904. It was made and retailed by Jones & Willis Ltd who were Church Art Workers & Art Metal Workers, with locations on Great Russell Street, London WC; Eagle Works, Hornsey, London N8; Birmingham & Liverpool.
It has hallmarks to the bowl. It has a hexagonal stem with an ornate knop, on a flared hexagonal base with a pie crust edge. It is engraved with a cross to the base. It is marked to the underside with the retailer mark.
There is a crease across the base, and also slightly higher where it joins the stem. There are a few other small dents. There are a number of marks and scratches to the piece.
