A George II period, in the Queen Anne style, mahogany framed side or dining chair. With solid vasiform back splat, carved scroll on the top rail. Drop in seat covered in wavy patterned needlepoint tapestry fabric, which appears to be late C19th. Broad seat rails, raised on cabriole front legs, on off-set pad feet, splayed rounded rear legs with single ring turned stretcher between.
A handsome and quality chair, in good condition and ready for use.

This chair measures approximately 104 cm (41'') tall, 56 cm (22'') wide, and 54 cm (21.25'') deep. The seat height is approximately 47.5 cm (18.75'').
Condition:
Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chair is in a good condition commensurate with its age. Some odd minor marks and blemishes. No loose joints. Small repair to back half of the rear left foot, and a small repair to back of the right style at the rear seat rail level. Neither of which are particularly noticeable or obvious.
...The seat is in a reasonable good condition, and structurally sound. Good colour, pleasing patina, and a good wax polish. Never French polished. Serviced, cleaned and wax polished. Very serviceable and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
