A large, imposing and well coloured Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Titled Staffordshire Pottery Portrait Figure of ''Admiral Sir Charles Napier'' ~ P C102 ~ H 211P, Commander of the Baltic Fleet during the Crimean War. Standing, his right hand holding a cocked hat, his left arm by his side holding a cape, a sword at his side, a cannon and balls to his right, wearing a tunic with epaulettes and trousers, a sash across his chest and waist. Catalogued as Fig. 102 and illustrated in Plate 42 ~ Section C of Pugh''s classic work ''Staffordshire Portrait Figures of the Victorian Era'', and as Fig. 211P in Book I of Harding''s ''Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835 - 1875''.
