Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Staffordshire portrait figure is an earthenware ceramic ornament produced in 19th-century England, depicting notable military officers, royalty, and historical public figures for domestic display.

These ornaments were created using press-moulded earthenware with a flat back profile, finished with a clear lead glaze and hand-painted overglaze enamel colours.

Original pieces feature press-moulded hollow interiors, light crazing within the glaze, hand-painted details with minor variations, and unglazed or sparsely decorated back surfaces.

Display the figure on a mantelpiece, sideboard, or bookshelf alongside contemporary books and minimalist ceramics to create visual contrast.

Dust the surface using a soft dry brush or a slightly damp lint-free cloth, avoiding liquid submersion or chemical cleaners that could damage the enamel surface.
