These are beautifully decorated with heraldic motifs. The dial has a portrait of a royal couple and to the front of the clock is a seated knight in armor. Brackets to the side of the clock feature gothic goygoyls and above the dial is an angelic mask. The original gilding is beautifully crisp and fresh.
The dial lettered in gothic script and is complete with its original fine brass hands. The rear door is glazed with convex glass to allow the movement to be seen. Please note that this type of clock does not have a front bezel.
The French movement is of high quality and is by Vincenti. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with occasional areas of wear and discolouration. Condition of the porcelain is good, the bottom left panel has some cracking and old restoration. the dial has some chipping around the winding holes.
Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
