Antique Waltham Bartlett full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a 17-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. This is a top quality movement with screw-set jewels in gold settings and Breguet hairspring. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 25,179,081 which dates it back to 1925.

The Bartlett grade was named after Patten Sargeant Bartlett who was one of the early employees of the Boston Watch Company which went on to become the Waltham Watch Company. He subsequently left Waltham to work for the National Watch Company at Elgin Illinois but eventually returned to Waltham to work as a salesman before opening his own wholesale business.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a minor scratch.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 10ct gold filled and it is in good condition, just a pin prick mark and a short scratch to the back.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is a glass lens which is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in very nice condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
