The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The main frieze inside the cup and around the saucer has an all-over gilt scrolled background with oval shaped reserves each with a small red bird in branches. Finished with gilt foot rings and handle. Marked with SPODE in red script and pattern number 1495, c.1815.

The cup measures 8.8cm (3 1/2") rim to rim and 5.8cm (2 1/4") high to the rim. The saucer measures 14cm (5 1/2") wide and 3cm (1 1/8") high.
In excellent condition with no damage or repair and minimal handling wear.
