Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The gallery enclosing broad rails, surrounding the gilt tooled leather centre. The facing edges finished to all sides, and the turret corners with brass facings. The front frieze with a long oak lined drawer, decorated with a central panel mounted with concave and beaded ormolu mounting. This ormolu mounted decoration repeated to the sides and rear. The end friezes with flush candle rests, likewise with tooled and leather surfaces, as per the centre. The turret corners mounted with brass floral decoration, over the legs which are topped by ormolu hanging harebells, within the flutes, as the legs taper to brass caps, and thence enclosed ball feet.

The whole finished to allow the table to be freestanding.
Excellent quality of both mahogany and mounts throughout.
