N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
This is a wonderful 18th Century oak Diadarn which is of very rare small proportions.

The piece comes in two parts with the top having a cavetto cornice above a plain frieze with inverted turned finials above a pair of fielded panelled cupboard doors. These are held in place with wooden catches and have pretty drop handles, and when opened this reveals a single shelf. To these sides are two panels with nicely shaped edges.

The base has a rectangular moulded top above a pair of frieze drawers with brass swan neck handles and a pair of panelled cupboard doors each with an arrangement of two vertical and a long horizontal panel and when opened this reveals a single shelf. The doors have pretty drop handles. The panelled sides have the same arrangement as the doors namely two vertical and a long horizontal panel which sets it off nicely. The base is raised upon style supports.

This cupboards could be used in any room in the house to provide useful storage space.

43 inches (109 cm) wide.
21.5 inches (54.5 cm) deep.
71.25 inches (181 cm) high.
As can be seen from the above dimensions this is of lovely rare small proportions.
