London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
An unusual and interesting large Georgian chest of drawers in oak.
The piece is substantially constructed and in great condition.

To the side the chest displays wonderful carved corinthian quarter columns which add to soften the look and are an indication of the quality of the piece.
Further signs of the unusual and interesting detailing of the chest are evident in the magnificent top surface which shows fantastic oak grain and patination. This is trimmed with oak and then verically crossbanded at the perimeter edge with mahogany.

Overall a very desirable Georgian chest in fine order that catches the eye and will perform as a hugely practical item of furniture.
