Victorian English Silver Plate Egg Cruet C.1880

Description

A fabulous antique English silverplate egg cruet for six with the most elegant handled egg cups with decorative rims, floral and foliate repousse decoration and gilded interiors.

The tray is wonderfully decorated too with all around repousse decoration and standing on it's original four bun feet. The tray has space to house the six egg spoons, one hanging each end and four sitting on the spoon rests.

The underside is stamped by the silversmith for CHARLES EDWARD NIXON of Sheffield. Excellent condition, measuring 11" x 6 3/4" x 6" tall to top of handle.
