A fine quality Worcester porcelain beer mug showing a loose Sevres influence with vertical underglaze blue stripes decorated with alternating gilt patterns and further gilt flowering vines ornamenting the reserved white stripes. Gilt dentil rim and the grooved strap handle with a stylised acanthus leaf detail. Unmarked, c.1785-1790.
It measures 12.5cm ( 4 7/8'') high and 8.6cm (3 3/8'') rim to rim.
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. Minimal handling wear, some small areas of kiln dust spotting here and there at the rim.
