A beautiful little antique pryer rug, handwoven in The Caucasus mountains, possibly in Dagestan, circa 1900. It features a traditional Mihrab design on a deep indigo lozenge field with an ivory border. Note the small animal figures in the field. Fabulous colours and highly decorative.
Size: 1.51m x 1.03m (5ft x 3ft 5in)
This rug is in good condition with moderate age-related wear. Small piece of fringe missing but secure. Small repair, barely visible. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
