Clockwise is delighted to welcome into its collection this extremely fine quality mahogany bracket clock from the esteemed makers Gay and Vicarino. This fully restored clock has a decorative brass dial comprising of a silvered chapter ring with decorative spandrels to the corners. A Brocot regulating adjuster lies above the 12 numeral within the polished brass plate and original spade hands compliment the appearance.The large and impressive case stands on involute original brass feet with caryatids to each side of the door. A band of brass scrolling leafwork surmounts the lower plinth and original carrying handles and a decorative mask to the case arched top and also the lower pediment, with four original urn finials proudly standing to the top, add to the majestic appearance. Each case side contains brass fretwork backed with striking red fabric and the rear door is similarly adorned.
