George II period mahogany bureau bookcase of excellent quality. The bookcase having fitted ajustable shelves and drawers, the doors inset with the original mercury glass mirror plate and gilded slips. The bureau has drawers, secret compartments and a leather writing surface. All brass handles, escutcheons and bolts are original along with keys. The mahogany retains excellent original colour and patination.
