Large oversize Malacca and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane.The pommel to the top is silver, stamped with the Birmingham assay office mark and the date letter for 1918 and the makers mark for Jones & Co. Plain silver mushroom pommel above the shaft which is Malacca which is a fibrous wood and is strong enough to support a good weight. This on is oversized and so will support a substantial weight. Natural staining to the wood as shown in the pictures. The ferrule is original and made of black buffalo horn.It measures 91 cm 35 13/16 inches in length, the pommel is 4.1 cm 1 11/16 inches wide.
