Tinker & Toad has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The eagle is set on a carved architectural base and holds a double chain that leads to decorative florets and small hanging tassels.

The sconces feature scrolling arms with drip trays and nozzles, and the lower section is adorned with stylised fabric ending in large decorative tassels. It’s rare to find a pair with all their original elements intact. The sconces have faux candle sleeves and are designed to hold small bayonet bulbs (B15). The gilt finish has aged beautifully, giving them a warm patina.
Condition-wise, they show some wear consistent with their age, including a few old repairs and reinforcement strips on the back, but these do not detract from their charm and character.
