Fabulous Antique English Inlaid Mahogany Serving Tray - Silver Plate Gallery C.1900

Description

Very rarely found these days, a wonderful galleried tray made from solid Mahogany wood and fin quality silver plated fittings.

The wood is beautifully inlaid with fan style inlays, very typical of the Edwardian era. The wood is fitted into a very decorative galleried surround, pierced or reticulated with a continuous garland around the gallery. The side of this gallery does have an old hallmark, but it is rubbed and hard to decipher.

The underside reveals the tray being supported on four original bun feet.

Excellent condition, measuring 18 1/2" x 12 1/2"
