An Ironstone Vase in the Mason Style, C. 19th Century.

19th century
Description

This is an antique ironstone vase made in the Mason style in England in the second half of the 19th century. The vase has a rather rare form: a hexagonal base, a round body, then an expanding hexagonal neck, with two thin curved side loop handles ending in a mask head on either side of the neck. The main central section of the vase has two different chinoiserie patterns on opposite sides; the patterns are surrounded by gold floral decoration. The vase is brightly hand-painted in gold with distinctive bold enamels in different colors. This is a high-quality piece in the recognizable Mason style, though the shape of the handles and the incorrect markings indicate that this is a high-quality copy and not the original.

Dimensions: Height 25.8 cm, width 14.5 cm, depth 12.2 cm. Weight 779 grams.

Condition: The vase is in excellent antique condition, with no visible signs of cracks, chips, or restoration. Complete preservation of paint, enamel, and gilding.

Please study the accompanying photographs carefully as they form an integral part of this description. The item will be shipped with full tracking and insurance. It is important to note that shipping costs include labor, packaging, and postage.
