Edwardian 2.03 Carat Old Cut Diamond & Ruby Navette Cluster Ring, Circa 1910

Description

An impressive antique dress ring with makes an impact and a statement. A pair of high white and bright natural old European cut diamonds – graded F to G colour, VS clarity – are set side by side, with a pair of kite shaped rubies between them. Ten old mine cut diamonds border the ring, each ‘accompanied’ by a small rose cut diamond and contrasted with bands of black enamel between each stone. The ornate shank features decorative scroll detailing at the shoulders with double-fluting running down the band. A truly singular ring. Crafted in 18k yellow gold (French hallmarks). Currently UK size M 1/2, US size 6.25 (complimentary sizing available).

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR (#30310659).

Cut – The two main stones are old European cuts. The diamonds in the surround are old mine cuts and rose cuts. The rubies are kite-shaped step cuts.

Colour – The central diamonds are F to G. The outer diamonds range from G to I.

Clarity – The central diamonds are VS2. The outer diamonds are VS2 to SI1.

Carat – Each of the main two diamonds is approximately 1.70 carat, with the outer diamonds very conservatively estimated at approximately 0.33 carat. The total approximate ruby weight is 0.38 carat.

Circa – 1910.

Size – M 1/2 (UK) or 6.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The head of the ring is 22.95 x 12.3mm and sits 6.1mm from the finger.

Weight – 5.29 grams.

Provenance – French.

Metal – 18k gold. French hallmarks.
