A classic and beautiful example of a Victorian Burr Walnut box with a dome shaped top. The box dates back to c.1860. It has beautifully detailed brass mounts with a matching key escutcheon complete with a working lock and key. The box would have started life as a twin lidded tea caddy but now it would make a wonderful treasure box.
We have relined the interior with handcrafted marble paper.
Superb quality and condition measuring 24 x 13 and stands 17cm high.
