An elegant pair of antique silver vases. Trumpet shaped, they elegantly narrow towards a domed pedestal base. Vase and base meet with a nicely rounded baluster detail, and the vase rim rolls under: subtle details which add flair to this timeless design.
Clear hallmarks are visible to the upper base of around the top of the vases. They show the Birmingham Assay Office mark, date mark for 1904,Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver plus the maker''s mark for S. Blanckensee & Son Ltd.
The vases are weighted and the base underneath is covered with a green baize, which have been replaced and the bases refilled.
Lovely vases for small posies, these would make a delightful wedding gift.
Condition: In good condition, there are a couple of very minor dints to the body of one vase, not very noticeable but mentioned for accuracy.
