WelshAntiques has dated this Welsh Oak Spoon Rack to the 18th Century.
It is unusual in having four tiers, especially since the top three have the customary holes for wooden cawl (broth) spoons, whilst the lowest has a long slot - perhaps for bone-handled knives or small wooden ladles or other implements.
Wonderful colour and surface, circa 1770.
