A stunning original Howard & Sons deep-buttoned back armchair, C.1850.
 
Raised on turned tapering walnut forelegs and splayed rear legs, terminating in original Cope Collinson brass castors.
 
Traditionally upholstered in a remarkable period floral chintz cotton fabric, quite possibly original to the chair.
 
Structurally sound, imperfections to the fabric to be expected.
 
Provenance: Great Witchingham House, Norfolk.
