This Regency rosewood breakfast table was made circa 1830.
The base has the central fluted column.
The sabre legs are particularly dramatic shape and complimented by the wonderful castors.
It is amazing to imagine that when this table was first made what the conservation over breakfast would have been.
Could they have spoken of the Liverpool and Manchester railway opening, the world's first intercity passenger railway operated solely by steam locomotives, here the first railway casualty occurred as a Liverpool MP who was knocked down by Stephenson’s rocket at the opening.
