The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, 15 jewels, three adjustments, which is working nicely. The movement is the reference 998 by Cyma. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
The case is in good condition.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover.
Inside, there is a glass lens which is in lovely condition (some white reflection showing in the photos).
The dial is also in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes with a watch chain, 34cm long including the clasps. The chain is yellower than the watch but they came to us together so thought it would be nice to keep them together.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
