Victorian Antique Scottish Silver and Agate Brooch, C1880

Description

An unusual Victorian silver and agate brooch. Made in Scotland around 1880. It has two pyramid shaped carnelians, two small cresent shaped moss agates and two large cresent shaped gray/brown agates. The central stone is a beautiful yellow/brown agate cut and polished in a semicircle. All the stones are bound in unmarked silver and attached to a slate back. There is an extended pin that clips into a typically Victorian "C" shaped clasp. This brooch would look stunning on any colour especially tweeds.

WEIGHT; 34 grams approx.
