Description

A very rare late Victorian silver plate biscuit box with a rise and fall inner box a very rare piece from the 19th century interior. In absolutely stunning original condition no damage whatsoever. The beautifully cast and chased handle with cabochon thumb screws and foliate rosette backplates over a wonderful chased lancet body upon chamfered base standing on beautiful cast and chased scrollwork feet. Upon opening the inner box rises on an internal mechanical action a very rare feature this is the first biscuit box I have seen with this rise and fall mechanical action. This stunning piece stands beautifully is in faultless condition and is without doubt one of the best on the market today.
