Antique Waltham Riverside Half Hunter Pocket Watch

Antique Waltham Riverside half hunter pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a good quality 19-jewel Riverside grade stem-winding movement which is working nicely. Screw-set jewels in gold settings, Church 1892 patent regulator and Breguet hairspring. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 13,030,315 which dates it back to 1903. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold filled Sun model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, supplier of cases to Waltham UK. The case is in good condition with the odd small mark, nothing serious at all. The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by blue enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition, just a couple of light minor marks… some white reflection showing in the photos.

The dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes with a single chain, 14 gold filled, 30cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

The watch and chain come in an antique presentation box from a Horsham jeweller.
