Antique Saryk Turkmen chuval face with nine large ''Salor'' guls.
Circa 1880 or earlier.
A good Saryk Turkmen chuval face with nine large Salor guls and four complete minor chuval guls, the lower elem panel is filled with traditional Saryk ''flowering shrub'' design. All of the whites are in cotton and the crimson colour is silk. The weave is fine; this is an outstanding example of this group of Saryk weaving.
The chuval face is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile.
