A superb rare English antique solid sterling silver thermometer tube holder. It is hallmarked for London 1905 with the maker being Sampson Mordan & Co. It has been nicely designed being engraved turned and has a vacant cartouche. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, faint push near the top and faint marks to the base - see final photo''s. It measures approx. 6.25 inches (15.8cm) along by 0.75 inch (1.9cm) wide and weighs 38 grams. A very nice quality piece.
