A fine William 1Vth Country House Sofa upholstered in gold velvet fabric. The frame of the sofa is Mahogany and all in good original condition. The carving detail on the back and legs of the sofa suggest that this was an important piece of furniture to grace a country house. The sofa would be an excellent feature in either a foyer of a hotel or similar. Alternatively, it could again be in situ in for a large drawing room.
