A very decorative, thick and impressive sterling silver early Victorian drinks tray salver of octagonal shape. It has been made from a very thick gauge of silver which gives it a lovely deep shine and a good heavy feel. It will look fabulous seating drinking glasses, it will hold 4 to 6 wine glasses depending on the glass size. The thick cast feet and border really do show the quality of the tray.
It has an interesting and beautifully engraved contemporary crest to the centre.
Fully hallmarked sterling silver, London 1845.
Makers mark of George Richards.
It is in an excellent condition with no damage or repairs.
The engraved decoration is still remarkably sharp and defined.
It has just been professionally polished so it is free from any scratching or denting.
