Description

A huge chunk of crystal was used to create this large impressive Art Deco inkwell, extremely sought-after currently as these sit just as well in a contemporary setting as a traditional one.

The clean lines of this heavy desk accessory is topped with a solid sterling silver hinged lid beautifully finished with engine turned decoration with a central sunburst pattern.

The quality is top-notch, to be expected from the renowned silversmith, Mappin & Webb. The hallmark is nice and crisp for Birmingham 1929.

Excellent condition, the lid measuring 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" x 2 3/4" tall.
