Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The flintlock mechanisms holding correctly on two stages, and held with a slide safety. The housing engraved with decoration of canons, drums and colours, the trigger guards with star burst engraving, the walnut grips inlaid with brass cartouches.
All in very good original condition.
Date circa 1780.
