These pieces were made by Carl Thieme Saxonian porcelain factory, generally known in English as Dresden Porcelain, it was located in Potschappel.

Carl-Johann Gottlob Thieme started in 1864 in Dresden porcelain and antique shop. He was also running a porcelain painting business. In September 1872 he established a porcelain factory named Sächsische Porzellan-Fabrik Carl Thieme zu Potschappel. The flower modeler Carl August Kuntzsch, a son-in-law of Thieme, played a key role in the company's success. With the "lush flower covering", he created a stylistic feature of Dresden porcelain. After Thieme's death, he took over the company and the economic success in 1912 enabled extensions to the production buildings. The early Dresden Porcelain production famous for its featured finely detailed, brightly colored painted scenes, often with ornate gilding. Some of the most popular early designs included figurines, tableware, and vases, which were often adorned with floral motifs, landscapes, and other decorative elements.

Many products from Dresden Porcelain have traditionally held a high position on the antiques market. Beautiful Dresden porcelain adorns many museums and private collections of the world. It can become part of your home collection.
