Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The hand-painted lid is exquisite and the sides also painted with foliate panels. As usually seen in these Russian boxes, the interior is a vibrant red finish.
The box is signed in the bottom left-hand corner, as can be seen in the photographs. Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/4" x 2 3/4" x 2 1/4".
