Wonderful Antique English Sterling Silver Postage Stamp Box

Description

A lovely quality Edwardian silver double stamp box, the glazed top protecting the two original stamps beneath.

The shaped box stands on it's original four spherical feet. One side is where the full hallmark can be found for Birmingham 1906. The makers initials A&J Z is also present for the well renowned silversmith, Arthur & John Zimmerman.

The lid is sprung and when held open reveals a gilded interior and a leather finish to the interior of the lid. Excellent condition, measuring 2 5/8" x 1 3/8" x 1" tall.
