George III Antique Silver Gilt Pocket Snuff Box, London 1802

Description

A stunning George III antique silver gilt pocket snuff box. Made in London in 1802, makers mark is rubbed. The 9 part hinge is tight and the lid closes firmly. There are a good set of hallmarks on the lip of the lid and part marks on one end. The box is covered in cast boxes each with a flower in it. There is crest on the top and an inscription on the inside ofvthe lid. The box is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. The gilding is slightly worn on the highpoints as you would expect with a 222 year old antique. A great addition to your collection.

WEIGHT; 93 grams or 3 ozst approximately.
