William IV Mahogany Library Chair

£1,875    $2,375    €2,256
William IV mahogany library chair

Here we are delighted to offer you this William IV mahogany library chair made circa 1830.

The frame is covered in fine English leather that we have hand dyed in our golden tobacco colour; it is then antiqued by our specialist who has worked on the Royal collections.

You would not know that the char has just been recovered as it looks to be the original covering, it is now ready to serve for future generations.

The hundreds of brass studs are individually tapped in, this takes time, great patience and skill.

The shape of the chair is striking as the back doesn’t go straight down but sweeps in at the rear of the lumber adding good support to your back when relaxing.

The arms have the applied panel with the stylised flower that is above the well carved upturned tulip legs. The chair stands on brass cup castors.
