It started life out as a commode, but has been converted into a stool. The Victorian box stool comprises a mahogany serpentine shaped box frame, with a newly upholstered brown leather hinged seat, finished with brass studwork, encompassed by a mahogany moulding and brass inset carrying handles. The seat itself is firm, which means that you won�t sink into the upholstery, but at the same time, it is very comfortable to sit on. If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, we can re-cover the seat in a fabric of your choice for �35 labour. The hinged lid opens to reveal a storage area, which has been lined with pale grey velvet; the lid has been decorated with lattice ribbon-work and finished with decorative brass studs. The internal box would be ideal for storing magazines, TV remote controls, make-up or just as a general tidy box!
