This is a fine quality antique English Victorian pair of occasional walnut chairs, with an aesthetic influence, displaying elaborately detailed backs, circa 1870, which have been newly upholstered, in excellent condition. With an Aesthetic influence, they are ideal for use as a pair of occasional chairs in the living room, or bedroom, or a pair of desk chairs in the office. The chairs are designed with finely carved solid walnut pierc
...ed backs, comprising an arched top rail with three turned spindles below, within a shaped frame, united by wavy horizontal splat. The stuff over seats have been newly upholstered in top quality cream & pale gold structured silk upholstery, with a diamond shaped pattern, interspersed with floral motifs and matching braiding. The underside of the chairs has been webbed and finished with traditional hessian. The seats are in excellent and clean new condition, with no marks or signs of wear and tear. The seats are firm, but comfortable; you do not sink into the seat.
