Elegant Pair of Silver Wirework Pepperettes by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, Birmingham 1919

Description

This unusual pair of silver pepperettes was made by the reputed Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company*. Each cylindrical silver body with a wirework middle section raised on a circular pedestal foot and fitted with the original Bristol green glass liner. Pull-off pierced cover.

*The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd was a reputed High Street jeweller with Royal Appointments.

Hallmarks:

G&SCo Ltd for the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company.

Lion Passant.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Date letters "u" for 1919.

Condition:

Very good condition.

No losses to the pierced decorations.

Wirework in very good condition.

Glass in very good condition.

Dimensions:

Height: 7.5cm / 3 inches.

Diameter: 3.5cm / 1.3 inches.
