Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Early 20th-century British watercolour painting was characterised by architectural precision, atmospheric light control, and tonal restraint. Artists frequently travelled across Europe to document historic landmarks using transparent washes over structured pencil underdrawings.

Artists utilised finely ground natural pigments suspended in gum arabic, applied directly onto heavy cotton rag paper. Framing typically incorporated acid-free mounts and protective glass to safeguard the delicate water-soluble pigments from environmental exposure.

Authentic period watercolours often show subtle paper toning consistent with age, alongside pencil guide lines beneath the paint layers. Signatures are typically executed directly in watercolour or graphite using hand-lettered styles matching the artists documented output.

Architectural watercolours pair well with contemporary gallery walls or minimal wooden furniture to create visual contrast. Displaying them in clean, simple frames allows the muted colour palette to complement both traditional and modern decor schemes.

To preserve original watercolours, display them away from direct sunlight using UV-filtering conservation glass and acid-free mounting boards. Maintaining a stable relative humidity prevents paper warping and fungal growth over time.
