Description

Fabulous mahogany Edwardian bookcase / display cabinet in wonderful condition by Wylie and Lochhead Ltd of Glasgow . This bookcase has a oversailing top with a shallow decorative frieze that sits on a single arched astragal glazed door with carved decoration to each top corner. Inside there are 5 fully adjustable shelves that will accommodate any size of book or ornament. Underneath the two small drawers have dovetail joints with half finger moulded fronts. Like all antiques there are some imperfections however this is a good size bookcase with amazing graining and patina that will house a wonderful collection of books or display your treasures with style.

Scottish cabinet makers and funeral undertakers Wylie and Lochhead Ltd were started in 1829.
