Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1950s.
It has a platinum case and the most exquisite diamonds which are incredibly white, bright and crisp. The total carat weight is approximately 1ct.
The dial is silver with steel peacock blue hands, in superb condition.
It comes with a brand new quality black silk strap and the watch fits a wrist size of up to 8 inches or 20cms although we can reduce this to any required size, it also has its original solid 9ct white gold safety clasp.
As you would expect from Vertex the watch is fully marked movement and the case is also marked platinum and has been fully tested.
The original Vertex movement has just been fully serviced and is running perfectly and keeping time.
Vertex were one of the most exclusive makers in the world, during the 1930s through to the 1950s they made some of the finest platinum and diamond watches ever made and this watch certainly has that understated elegance and quality which resonates class.
The watch diamond case measures 12mm wide not including the crown and is 38mm long
Overall this watch is simple stunning and was obviously extremely well cared for, it would certainly make a perfect gift for any lady especially when worn with that little black dress
