This sturdy office chair boasts a curved bar back, with scroll ears secured by down swept arms, on shaped vertical supports which are decorated with scroll carvings at the base. A bank of vertical turned bulbous spindles unite the shaped bar back and down swept scroll arms to the oak seat frame. The office chair seat has been newly upholstered in top quality full grain sage green leather, which has been finished with hand-tacked studs to the seat perimeter. The underside of the seat has been webbed in the traditional manner. The Edwardian oak desk chair incorporates a restored mechanism allowing it to smoothly rotate 360 degrees and recline backwards. The seat height can be adjusted by revolving the chair, while the tension of the reclining action can be adjusted by turning the small wheel on the front of the mechanism.
