An unusual Japanese Yosegi inlaid and lacquer trinket box. The top having marquetry and parquetry inlay using exotic woods from the Hakone forests South of Tokyo. The black lacquer frieze with gilded highlights and opens to reveal 6 removable red lacquered boxes all having gold lacquer painted butterflies and ebony pulls. The whole in very good condition with little signs of wear or use. Dimensions:- Height…3.5''/ 9cm. Width…14''/ 35.5cm. Depth…11.75''/ 29.5cm. Free U.K. delivery on this item.
