A fine Worcester porcelain butter tureen, cover and stand of oval form with delicate moulded twig handles and knop and individually modelled leaves and flowers at the terminals. Printed with the Rose-Centred Spray pattern, c.1770-1780. Crescent marks to the base of the stand and the tureen. The stand measures 19.5cm (7 5/8'') long by 15cm (5 7/8'') wide. The tub measures 15.2cm (6'') long (including the handles) by 9.5cm (3 3/4'') wide and 9.5cm (3 3/4'') high.In excellent condition: some chips to the leaves and flowers on the stand and tureen and a couple of flowers and leaves missing from the stand. No damage, repair or restoration to the body of any piece or the handles.
