Andrew Cox Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Marble, Agate, Onyx and Malachite are all used and are perfectly cut and polished to create the panel. The lid is hinged and opens to reveal a Cedar lined interior, with the original velvet lined base. To the front the lid has a small inset brass panel, matching that of the lock escutcheon to the main body. A useful and decorative box. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good. All stones to the panel are present and complete. Lock is present, but unfortunately there is no key.
