A Victorian pair of Phoenix ware vases by Thomas Forester & Co c1880. Phoenix ware porcelain is typified by its heavily gilded background which highlights the handpainted floral decoration, which on these vases is pink roses on their stems and leaves. The decoration all over the vase creates an impactful look, with the gilding especially catching and reflecting light. This matching pair of vases is not tall but still suitable for a mantle piece or table. The bases bear initials for the maker. The vases have no damage and are in super condition.
